Just how we like it.

The Black Locust Cafe looks a little different than a lot of Madison cafes. We like to think we’re a bit more welcoming than most, too. Proof is in our menu, which is omnivore, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly all at once, and features a selection of bing sandwiches, sweet and savory crepes, breakfasty things, juices, and a rotating mix of baked goods that just doesn’t look like the menu at other cafes in town.

Our kitchen is open 8am-3pm every day with the exception of Monday, but we serve coffee, beer, and kombucha well into the evening and host events regularly, too. Hours and programming have changed due to COVID and staffing issues.
